The DFS Hitman CSGO DFS Breakdown (BLAST – 4/15)

Heroic (-667) v SAW (+411)

Bans: Dust 2 (Heroic), Mirage (SAW)

Picks: Inferno/Nuke (Heroic), Vertigo (SAW)

Hard to pick against Heroic tomorrow especially given that they are coming off an ESL Pro League victory over the #1 team in the World (Gambit). Throw in that Heroic is riding a 10-game winning streak which spans as long as this new lineup has been together and you realize that SAW has their work cut out for them tomorrow. There is some hope for an upset though even despite the path to victory being extremely difficult to find. That hope is tied to the fact that Heroic is not going to be in a bootcamp tomorrow for this match which will be the first time this team is NOT in a bootcamp together. We have seen examples with plenty of teams such as Vitality and NaVi where the team play immediately falls off once the bootcamp is over which is something I am worried could happen tomorrow to Heroic. This is especially relevant given that they are coming off such a big win. The final note I have here is the fact that SAW has played 91 maps over the past 3 months which is insane when you think about Heroic only playing a total of 26 maps with their new starting lineup so far. They have to lose at some point right? I really think SAW has potential to upset tomorrow and I know I will probably either live or die by this decision. But it’s a 2-game slate and I want to get dirty, SAW is the pick. My favorite plays from SAW are Stadodo, JUST and rmn who are all projecting for 50+ DKP tomorrow. I know it’s risky, but I love the risk, Viva Saw. BTW I’m Portuguese so definitely a little bias coming in here but fug it.

Vitality (-3333) v 9z (+684)

Bans: Train (Vitality), Vertigo (9z)

Picks: Dust 2 (Vitality), Nuke (9z)

I’m sorry but this match shouldn’t be happening. I mean really? 9z vs Vitality? ZyWoO vs some trash team from South America that no one has heard of? Give me a break! 9z qualified for this tournament by beating some even worse teams from Argentina and to make matters even worse they are playing with a stand-in who hasn’t ever played an official match with this core. EasTor is the stand-in and (again) to make matters even worse he is a primary AWPer who will likely be on a rifle as try is already the primary AWP for 9z. Now I know Vitality hasn’t been looking hot recently but there is a bit of news I need to mention which is going to have an impact tomorrow. So, RPK is stepping down after this tournament and thus the tank will likely be mobilizing in what is going to be his final tournament under the Vitality banner. Also worth noting, Nivera is officially benched so we no longer need to worry about him stealing maps from Misutaaa and Shox. Essentially I think this roster will get a jumpstart in the short term as the RPK departure will motivate everyone and the stress of being benched in favor of Nivera will further that motivation. My favorite plays here are ZyWoO (of course), Shox and Misutaaa. RPK is a good option if you need some salary relief but remember his role is a site holder so he doesn’t really get those sexy stats like you want from your DFS brethren. Don’t get cute here, Vitality is a -3333 favorite for a reason.

DFS Plays: ZyWoO, Shox, Misutaaa
