Another day, another bag to secure. And today is another somewhat small NBA slate which includes a whopping 6-games over on DraftKings. Not pretty, but not ugly, I’d give this slate like a hard seven. Mainly because of the games like NY @ ATL and NO @ SAC which are artificially propping up this slate. But we also have key guys like Porzingis who will be resting tonight vs DEN.

So, let’s proceed to do a deep-dive into today’s NBA Slate and lock down those locks.

Lock #1: Christian Wood ($8,100) – Christian sees a $200 price increase today which is completely justifiable as Philly could continue to be subpar down low AS LONG as Embiid is out. We will want to keep an eye on the Embiid news, although it doesn’t directly impact Wood as he is the PF and Henson is the C right now. But still keep an eye out. We also can look at Wood’s past games and see the averages over his last 5 games of 24.0 PPG along with 9.8 RPG which is 0.2 RPG away from being a double-double per game. Throw in that he’s dropped 45+ DK points in 3 of his last 5 games along with 36 minutes per game over that span and his price at only $8100 starts to almost somehow look cheap.

Lock #2: Bam Adebayo ($9,000) – Bam is getting a $1000 price increase today which basically makes me assume that Jimmy Butler isn’t going to play tonight after missing practice yesterday with the toe injury. SO, what this will do is add usage to Bam who has been known to go off for the occasional triple-double with Jimmy Butler on the pine. Throw in a matchup with Charlotte and Cody Zeller who Bam has already torn up this year to the tune of 21 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 block. That game was a completely different story too as Meyers Leonard was starting then. Also I forgot to mention Kendrick Nunn is questionable as well with the flu which means he could be out tonight as well. 41.92 DK points per game over his last 5 with a high point of 54.5 DK points last game vs WAS in 33 minutes. IF Butler is out then Bam is a LOCK.

Lock #3: Julius Randle ($7,800) – If you don’t believe in Magic then maybe this play is not for you. And that was a joke so chill because I think I actually have real data. The price is only up $200 and the game is tied for the highest total of the slate at 232.5 points. AND tonight is a B2B which means the 26 minutes Randle saw last game were likely for a reason. Now how about we take a look at the last B2B Randle had so we can get some background. Well it was on 2/8-2/9, @ DET and @ ATL. Game 1 @ DET, Randle played 34 minutes and dropped only 32.8 DK points. Sort of similar to his last game vs WAS huh? YESSSS. And then we look at Game 2 @ ATL, Randle played 46 minutes in a 2OT game vs NY and dropped 64.5 DK points. Wait, isn’t his game today vs ATL? Why yes it is! We have legit evidence that Randle will ball tonight. And the 26 minutes in his last game makes me even more confident about this.
